CSI has a complete line of custom printed mouse
pads. Here are the different types we supply.
• Silk Screened Pads are our most popular type of
mouse pad. They are the soft surface, colored fabric
p a d s wi t h o n e o r mo r e i n k c o l o r s t h a t y o u s e e
everywhere.
In smaller quantaties, they are our least expensive
pads. 100 pads with one ink color cost only $2.50
each plus a “one time only” setup charge of $30.
The pads come in eight different colors: black, royal
blue, navy blue, burgundy, forest green, gray, red
and white. They measure 9-1/4″ x 7-3/4″ x 1/4″.
The advantage of silk screened pads are that they are
the l e a s t expens ive pad type , h ave the sma l l e s t
minimum orde r quant i ty and the pad color c an
c o n t r i bu t e t o t h e d e s i g n wi t h o u t p a y i n g f o r a n
additional color.
The disadvantages of silk screened pads are:
• C a n n o t p r i n t f o u r c o l o r p r o c e s s ( p h o t o g r a p h i c
quality).
• Cannot do a full bleed (print all the way to the edge).
There must be at least 1/4″ margin around the edge
and 1/2″ or larger usually looks better.
• Cannot print gradients (blends): i.e., cannot go from
one color to another with various shades and colors
i n b e twe e n : e . g . , B l a c k t o wh i t e w i t h d i ff e r e n t
shades of gray in between. One shade of a color is
possible: i.e., Gray can be printed by using 30%
black.
• L a rg e p r i n t a r e a s i n t h e mi d d l e o f t h e p a d c a n
interfere with the action of the mouse if the pad color
i s da rke r than the ink color. Thi s probl em c an be
avoided by using a light color pad, such as white
